These locations exemplify an industrial renaissance that is happening in the U.S., driven by advanced manufacturing techniques, ground-up innovation, supporting thousands of new jobs, and making products for export. Want to be part of the renaissance? Join us today.

The GE Aviation plant in Durham, North Carolina is the home of final assembly for the GE90, CF6-80C2, and CF34-8 engine lines. Formerly, a GE turbine manufacturing facility, the site was re-opened in May 1992 by GE Aviation for assembly of the GE90. The scope of work to be completed at the facility broadened when Aircraft Engines announced in 1993 that Durham would assemble the CF6-80C2. The growth of the facility continued when in October 1997, it was announced that assembly of CF34-8C1 would be at Durham, with production beginning in 2000. The development of this new 14,000 lb. thrust engine represented GE's most recent regional airline engine program and increased GE's scope to include 70 passenger aircraft.Come see why we love Durham!
