Role Summary/Purpose

The Lead Fleet Support Data Analytics Engineer will be responsible for analyzing the diversity of wind turbines in the Megawatt Constrained (MWC) segment related to Root Cause Analysis (RCAs). They will be the leader of driving analytics, statics, and modeling for the MWC fleet RCAs and supporting quality improvement efforts.
Essential Responsibilities

As part of this role, they will develop a business-first mindset to drive prioritization of top issues and successful cross-functional leadership to deliver lower cost of poor quality (COPQ) across 1.x & 2MW fleet. Additionally, they will support customer solutions to achieve fleet-wide 98%+ availability.

As a Lead Fleet Support Data Analytics Engineer, you will:

·  Own statistical data analysis to uncover trends, co-relations and ultimately root causes working with very large data sets, including statistical analyses, data visualization, data mining, and data cleansing/transformation

·  Use tools, process and practices to drive measurable improvement in productivity, quality and accuracy related to RCAs and MWC fleet issues

·  Use the turbine operation and maintenance data to develop predictive analytics that drive action related improvements for our RCAs

·  Work closely with sub-system managers and component subject matter experts to understand trends and drive analytics and quality improvements for new unit design and corrective actions of fielded units

·  Integrate across our Services Analytics, CSA/FSA, and regional data teams to ensure fleet implementation and improvements are occurring while levering similar processes and lessons learned

·  Effectively communicate technical recommendations in formal review meetings
Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar field from an accredited college or university

·  At least 3 years of experience as a data, analytics, and/or reliability engineer

·  Experience with statistical and analytic programming design and technologies.

·  Experience with statistical and analytic programming design and technologies (e.g., Reliasoft, JMP, SAS, Python, R, SQL, etc.)
