Role Summary/Purpose

We are looking for an experienced front-end developer to join our Mobile Application Development Team, responsible for development of key GE Healthcare business applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing and testing mobile and web solutions across various platforms including iOS, Android and others.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Participate in the technical development of mobile and web applications

·  Work closely with the User Experience (UX) team to translate wireframes and designs into code, collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects and Product Owner to understand product requirements

·  Active participation in the Agile software development lifecycle

·  Quickly prototype and iterate on ideas

·  Monitor application code quality through development, test, and QA

·  Ensure compliance with architecture, security and technology standards set by GE

·  Provide insight and guidance based on lessons learned and best practices

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

·  Strong software development experience with focus on creating performant, reusable and flexible code

·  Significant experience in front-end mobile application architecture, frameworks, development methodologies, and mobile user interface design principles

·  Solid programming abilities in HTML5/CSS3/JS including at least one JavaScript framework (AngularJS, BackboneJS, KnockoutJS and others)

·  Experience with at least one of CSS pre-processor (LESS/SASS/SCSS and others)

·  Experience with Agile Scrum methodology and test driven development, continuous integration (Jenkins / Hudson) and version control (SVN, GIT, etc.)

·  Out of the box thinker who would leverage expertise to solve complex technical problems

·  Strong desire for exploring, evaluating and understanding new technologies

·  Strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive

·  Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources; has experience working with others on a global basis

·  Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written

Desired Characteristics

·  Significant experience with mobile or web popular frameworks such as Cordova, PhoneGap

·  Significant experience interacting and consuming RESTful web services using JSON

·  Experience with responsive web design

·  iPhone/iPad Development (Objective C/Cocoa/Swift framework), Android SDK/J2ME

·  Webstorm IDE is a plus

·  Understanding database technologies

·  Strong Facilitation skills, with collaboration across in-person and remote teams
