Role Summary/Purpose

As part of the Renewable Energy Services team you will be responsible for the servicing and maintenance of wind turbine generators in our key locations at client sites.

Essential Responsibilities

As the Field Service Technician, you will:

·  Work independently on the implementation of fault analyses and repair of wind turbine generator systems, including clarification of any client queries
·  Plan and have preventive maintenance of wind turbine generator systems
·  Document call-out responses, fault finding and repair work in service reports, logbooks and checklists
·  Coordination of external and internal service providers and contractors on site
·  Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities in the offshore wind turbine
·  Work under the supervision of the Block Island Site Manager to plan the jobs preparing tools, parts, timing and resources needed for the works assigned
·  Comply with safety regulations, operation, service as well as other procedural manuals
·  Work in coordination with on-site subcontractors
·  Work in a safe manner and follow applicable company safety standards and procedures

Qualifications/Requirements

·  High School Diploma / GED
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

·  Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
·  Ability and willingness to handle repetitive weight - 50 lbs
·  Ability and willingness to climb towers up to 300 feet
·  Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions
·  Ability to meet specific OSHA weight limits of 250 to 300lbs max
·  Ability to read and understand electrical schematic drawings
·  Ability and willingness to read, interpret technical manuals, procedures, and regulations
·  Ability to write reports, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
·  Ability and willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities
·  Ability and willingness to be available for rotation shift schedules 24 hours, seven days a week

Desired Characteristics

·  Professional training in electrical engineering sector (electrician, power electronics system, mechatronic engineer)
·  Familiar with MS-Office operating system and PLCs
·  High degree of quality awareness; excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills combined with the ability to detect and remedy faults, defects, problems
·  Structured worker with technical analytical abilities
