Role Summary/Purpose

- Allotted work to be perform in define schedules and budgeted manhours.
- Active participation in basic design and detail design activities.
- Standardization and methodology aspects layout activity, PDMS Auto cad and preparation of BOM activity.
- Functional reporting to your Layout COE leader and operationally to the System Integrator
- EHS: - Implementation EHS policy & procedures of GE for design aspect.
Essential Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Below activities shall be performed within stipulated time frame for basic & detail layout engineering.

• To work on PDMS/E3D & AutoCad software for various type of hydro power plant civil modelling and equipment modelling.
• To work on PDMS/E3D & AutoCad software for various type of hydro power plant networks routing (piping/HVAC ducting/ Cable and Cabletray) modelling.
• Generate clash check report from PDMS & resolve if any interference found.
• Generate General arrangement drawings for equipment layout, Civil work layout, piping layout & erection drawing in PDMS draft module.
• To review customer civil structural design drawings, civil construction drawings.
• To review various vendor equipment drawings for layout interfaces & requirements.
• Generate piping isometric drawings from PDMS Isodraft module.
• Prepare piping bill of material for various piping systems, cable trays, pipe/cable tray supports & release in PLM tool.
• Should interact with other department for various inputs/interface requirement & keep the record.
• Interaction with customer for various discussion/meeting
• Good communication skill in English with written & verbal.
• Should involve in process improvement & project cost cutting activities.
Qualifications/Requirements

· Bachelor of Science in Engineering, from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 4 years of experience in an engineering or technical position
He/she should have minimum 3 to 6 years’ experience on below activity.
• should have good knowledge of cad software, like PDMS, AutoCad, MS office, etc.
• He/she should have good knowledge about hydro power plant layout, equipment arrangement/layout & should be good knowledge about plant network layout (piping/HVAC ducting & cable tray).
• should have good knowledge about pipe support engineering.

• should have good knowledge about EHS/safety rules which shall be considered during layout engineering.
• should have good knowledge of equipment Loads/foundation civil requirements, equipment handling requirement.
• If he/she had Basic knowledge of civil structural design (beam/column/slab/steel structure) which will be an added advantage.
