Role Summary/Purpose

Do you want to support LM activities related to aeroacoustics, and communicating results to key stakeholders clearly and efficiently to improve our blades?
Essential Responsibilities

You will be part of a highly capable team, and be involved in LM’s product research and development process, collaborating both with internal and external stakeholders in your field of expertise.
Key tasks will be:

·  Run the LM aeroacoustics tool-set to perform day-to-day tasks such as rotor noise estimates and noise reduction strategies
·  Support our day-to-day with out-of-the-box thinking and solutions
·  Become involved in the improvement of LM workflows and processes related to the job and department
·  Support and design experimental campaigns, both in the field and wind tunnel facilities
Qualifications/Requirements

If you are our new Aeroacoustics engineer, you:

·  Hold a Masters in engineering, physics, mathematics or related field (e.g. mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering) and/or you have equivalent knowledge/experience
·  Have some active research experience, academic or otherwise, and experience in scientific or engineering software development
·  Have a good understanding of aerodynamic concepts, including turbulence, boundary layers, airfoil mechanics, and ideally rotor aerodynamics

Moreover, you are a keen communicator, able to describe complex technical details in an efficient and clear way to a wide audience. You are able to accurately and clearly visualize complex datasets, extracting key elements and you show resourceful when it comes to presentation of results and data.

You like to think out-of-the box and can propose improvements to streamline your deliverables, and are able to work in a cross-cultural and diverse work environment.
