Role Summary/Purpose

As the Mechanical Equipment Engineer you will be responsible for preparation of technical dossier and technical management of subcontracted equipment within the Mechanical Equipment Engineering Department.

Essential Responsibilities

The Mechanical Equipment Engineer is responsible for on-time, correct and complete delivery of engineering interfaces and associated documentation for the assigned equipment packages. The main activities include:

·  preparation of Technical Specification and supporting documentation to meet requirements and expected performances of the Project Contract, review and technical-economic analysis of Supplier's offers, technical contract finalization with the selected Supplier,

·  on placement of the Purchase Order, supplier follow-up including co-ordination of all technical interface documentation to meet the contract schedule from project hand over by the Tendering team until take over by the Client/Service department,

·  managing the technical interface with the Supplier coordinating with all the internal functions (e.g. Civil design, Arrangement, Process, Electrical, I&C, Construction, Quality etc.) and partners (e.g. internal and external partners). Implementing and managing design freezes for each technical interface,

·  supporting the Lead Engineer Mechanical Equipment and the Project team in technical discussions/submissions to the Client and relevant authorities,

·  full and timely support for all Project site construction and commissioning staff; in particular in the close-out punch lists to obtain PAC and FAC with the Clients, resolution of NCRs, etc.,

·  managing the experience feedback and proposing of actions to improve the processes, reducing costs and timescales,

·  provide the requested support to Tender Engineering including specialist input to tenders and Client questions/clarifications,

·  maintain and update the standard reference documentation within the scope of responsibility of the group assigned by his/her Group Manager,

·  participate in technical development and cost reduction processes, supporting R&D activities,

·  on projects, make conceptual design of systems and issue related documentation (e.g. design notes, concept documents) for packages where these activities are in the responsibility of the group specialism.

Desired profile

Qualifications/Requirements

o Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or equivalent knowledge/experience)
o Some experience in the power plant business (gas, WtE) and in engineering discipline
o knowledge of overall power plant operation and equipment
o good understanding of sub-contractor technical management
o strong ability to communicate verbally and in written English
o willingness to travel domestically and internationally

o second language (German, Polish, French, Chinese…)
o experience with the project management tools/methods as time scheduling, DOW, risk management, quality tools
o effective problem identification and solution skills
o site erection/commissioning experience
