Role Summary/Purpose

Looking for a high-energy lead technician to support the growing Anesthesia and Respiratory business. This is a multifaceted position with a great deal of responsibility ranging from prototype development to regulatory compliance. It is located on the south east side of Madison Wisconsin on our GE Healthcare Campus.
Essential Responsibilities

Utilizing initiative and independent judgment to design or make modifications to new, existing, or special products where little or no precedent may apply.
- Work with engineers to analyze project for manufacturing and material costs
- Make or obtain sketches and drawings, and set up specifications and other pertinent design data for layout drawings.
- Do necessary investigations pertinent to the design and maintain reference criteria incidental to designing.
- Establish engineering specifications as to size capacities, performance, or other requirements.
- Make required calculations to determine and establish acceptable standards of performance, material/component selection, type of construction, etc.
- May follow up construction and testing of prototypes, assisting with analyzing results and corrective redesign as required.
- May provide technical leadership, guidance, and training to other design/drafting personnel.
Qualifications/Requirements

* Associates Degree or equivalent experience and continuing educational efforts in electronics.
* Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot circuits to the component level.
* Demonstrated ability to draw accurate conclusions from test data, malfunctions, or deviations and coordinate implementation of corrections to the existing
design or process.
* Demonstrated high proficiency to interpret and explain complex technical information.
* Demonstrated proficiency to utilize and modify computerized work systems.
* Demonstrated excellent verbal & written communications skills.
* Demonstrated strong team and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrate an ongoing effort to maintain knowledge of current technology.
* Demonstrated ability to rework/repair SMT PWAs
Desired Characteristics

* Working knowledge of EMC Standards, compliance Techniques, and Testing
* Electrical CAD Experience (Cadence)
* Development of PC Based automated tests
* Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
