Role Summary/Purpose

The Electrical Engineer position will be responsible for developing electrical design products for Clinical Care Solutions (CCS) Supplies & Accessories (S&A) projects. This engineer participates in the engineering efforts for the S&A projects to ensure that the necessary program deliverables are adhering to plan. This role requires cross functional interaction with Sourcing, Manufacturing and Quality team members to ensure the quality goals set forth by the business are met.
Essential Responsibilities

• Work with suppliers and engineering team members to develop design alternatives to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost, manufacturability and standards compliance for S&A products
• Maintain product portfolio to meet required performance, quality and reliability goals for the S&A products
• Providing guidance and requirements to new product development teams in order to improve quality of new releases
• Provide expertise for electrical design and verification activities within assigned projects
• Interact closely with core team members, sourcing, quality and global vendors to meet project deliverables and goals
Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent knowledge / experience)
• A minimum of 3 years of Engineering work experience in a product business
• Demonstrated experience in any of the following disciplines: EMC and Standards compliance testing, Analog signal and subsystem design, Hardware testing and Design Verification
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Desired Characteristics

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in project design within a manufacturing, development, or research environment.
• Demonstrated skills in proactively identifying, facilitating, and driving closure of project tasks
• Attention to detail and ability work independently toward timely completion of a variety of assignments
• Proven ability to interact with global/cross-function team members.
• Knowledge of GE Healthcare engineering tools and processes.
• Previous experience working with medical devices
