Role Summary/Purpose

The Dedicated Diagnostic Engineer will work in BHGE TPS iCenter in Houston. The Customer Dedicated Diagnostic Engineer will work on monitoring and diagnostic of rotating equipment and assets of Cheniere LNG plants as well as other assets in the M&D fleet. Focused on data analysis, will act as customer entry point for troubleshooting, performance measurement and fleet KPI assessment both at site and from remote iCenter. Continuous alignment with service engineering teams will be requested.
Essential Responsibilities

He/she will prepare technical reports and suggest improvements to optimize service so that it is aligned with customer expectations.

In the role of Dedicated Diagnostic Engineer, you will:

·  Work closely with decision makers in P&L and engineering to identify, develop and implement the technology solutions needed to improve fleet KPI

·  Act as customer dedicated diagnostic engineer for Cheniere Energy, closely managing technical issues to resolution, cooperating with customer and colleagues, fulfilling special requests and maintaining alignment between site and M&D team

·  Manage operating rhythm and periodic technical reviews with the customer

·  Daily monitor the Monitoring & Diagnostic (M&D) fleet composed of aeroderivative and heavy duty gas turbines, steam turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, electrical motors and generators, gearboxes, auxiliaries and balance of plant

·  Analyze data and alerts generated by M&D prognostic systems

·  Troubleshoot technical issues on monitored fleet and communicate effectively verbally and in writing

·  Prepare and review of technical documentation such as trip root cause analyses, anomaly notifications and monthly reports

·  Act as customer interface, discussing technical details of issues and findings

·  Meet cycle time and volumetric goals while ensuring quality for M&D notifications and reports

·  Be available for critical issue resolution on claimed cases and assigned customers

·  Work assigned weekends and holidays on a rotational basis (flexible compensation time received for weekend / holiday shifts)

·  Use SmartSignal software including continuous tuning and proposals for optimization of machine models

·  Utilize System1 software to perform deep investigation on rotordynamic issues

·  Navigate and interprete site-specific control software (e.g. MarkV / VI / VIe, MicroNet / Plus, RX3i / RX7i, etc.) and engineering documents (e.g. P&ID, Instrument List, Wiring Diagram) to support technical analyses

·  Support the development and deployment of diagnostic systems in terms of hardware, software, data acquisition and analytics

·  Propose improvements or new analytics to enhance monitoring service

·  Suggest customized analytics according to specific customer requirements

·  Prepare and/or review periodic reports including data analysis, issue report out, thermodynamic performance assessments and KPI trends

·  Validate automatic performance calculations on monitored equipment and identify nonconformities

·  Ensure completeness and quality of M&D data for selected customers

·  Remotely support testing and troubleshooting activities at site; case by case basis for travel to site

·  Work in close cooperation with global teams and collaborate with others to solve complex technical issues

·  Provide support to other engineering and business functions for data collection, analysis and path forward definition

·  Work in cooperation with BHGE Product Services team, Technical Accounts and Project Management to carry out root cause analyses, support customers and expedite issue resolution

·  Supervise contractor activities to ensure timeliness, data completeness and documentation quality

·  Ensure alignment and integration with colleagues involved in development of digital solutions and pilot projects

·  Present M&D and Digital Solutions capabilities to customers
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university

·  Minimum 3 years of technical experience in Machinery Diagnostics, Services Engineering, Field Services and/or Product Design

·  Minimum 3 years of experience in rotating equipment and GE / BHGE turbomachinery products

Eligibility Requirements:

·  Work weekends and holidays, as required
Desired Characteristics

·  Aeroderivative gas turbines and centrifugal compressors expert 
• Knowledge of performance and vibration analysis 
• Fluent in English and Italian languages

·  Experience with Bently Nevada System1 / ADRE or other industry vibration condition monitoring systems

·  Experience with GE Proficy SmartSignal

·  Familiarity with control software and logic (e.g. Mark V / VI / VIe, MicroNet / Plus)

·  Experience with interpreting engineering documents (P&ID, Wiring Diagram, etc.)

·  Sound analytical and troubleshooting skills

·  Ability and enthusiasm to work in fast paced, challenging and dynamic environment

·  Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to act on his/her own initiative

·  Ability to work across multi-functional and global teams

·  Ability to influence and good presentation skills
