Role Summary/Purpose

LM Wind Power seeks experienced, talented and committed engineers to work within the area of full scale blade testing.

Essential Responsibilities

LM Wind Power is growing and we are therefore strengthening our engineering team in Test & Validation. Do you want to work in an environment of innovation and knowledge sharing between approximately 80 engineers and highly skilled technicians in our Test and Validation Center in Denmark and India - all highly qualified in each of their area of expertise?

You will be working with full scale testing of wind turbine blades and development of state-of-the-art test methods and equipment. You will lead this development of new methods and equipment for our ISO17025 accredited full scale blade test laboratory with internal and external partners.

You will be based in our Technology Center in Lunderskov, Denmark, where our Blade Test Engineering team is located and a significant part of our testing is performed. The demand of testing will also cover close cooperation with external testing service providers worldwide.

As test engineer, you manage the link between new product development projects and our full scale blade test laboratory. You will work in cross-functional project teams working closely together with colleagues from across the globe. You thrive being the project manager that handles a technical challenging daily operation as well as keeping a high threshold on development of equipment and methods.

·  You will be at the forefront of full scale testing of wind turbine blades

·  You will project-manage the execution of blade test.

·  You will develop new methods and test equipment with internal and external partners.

Qualifications/Requirements

·  You have a strong theoretical background in mechanical engineering or similar qualification.

·  You have proven relevant experience, preferable within testing of large composite structures.

·  You have the ability to transform your theoretic solutions to practical methods or equipment.

·  You are a strong communicator with the ability to network with all potential stakeholders.

·  You are a self-starter and self–driven person who create progress whilst never losing sight of targets.

·  It would be a clear advantage if you are knowledgeable in LEAN and Six Sigma methodology.
