Job description
Gemalto M2M (Machine To Machine) designs highly innovative wireless modules according to GSM, WCDMA, UMTS and LTE standards. One important property of these products has to be excellent performance and robustness for operation in an industrial, automotive and a lot of other customer's M2M applications.
To ensure leadership grow and outstanding product quality, Gemalto wants to increase global M2M team by organizing new development center in Prague.
As a Software Automation and Integration Test Engineer in M2M team in Prague, you will prepare and conduct testing of these revolutionary products.
A week in the life of
• You will validate system software on a wireless module according to the test strategy and plan.
• You will develop and maintain automation test environments for integration, automated software function tests and automated hardware verification.
• You will document the test plan by writing automation test scripts and executing test cases.
• You will design test cases, analyze test log files and support troubleshooting.
• You will continuously improve test cases for early failure detection.
Desired profile
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• To succeed in this job, you must have: experience with system and application testing for wireless modules, software test methodologies, the software development life cycle, strong JAVA programming skills and software in C, C++ or scripting languages such as Python.
• It would be preferred if you have familiarity with wireless communication technologies such as GSM, W-CMDA, LTE and AT-command.
• You must be fluent in English.
• We would like someone to join our team who is a quick-learner, with excellent troubleshooting skills, a strong communicator and problem-solver, analytical, a team-player and self-motivated.
• You must have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Telecommunications or Computer Software Engineering.
• We are looking for someone with 3 - 5 years of experience in related technical fields.
