Job description

To perform the duties of pre-sales of Gemalto IDP products in their assigned territory. To provide technical strength to sales team, partners and Customers in identifying and evaluating the right business solutions. Providing the complete solution architecture to the client with the most suitable SafeNet product integration/deployment. Reporting to Assistant Manager Sales Engineering, Sales APAC Data Protection, the person in this position will focus on supporting reseller partners, solution partners, SI partners, as well as direct accounts with an emphasis on unsurpassed customer satisfaction. That demands a quick response to customer/partner feedback for trend setting. This position involves a broad range of sales related activities, including but not limited to participate and represent Gemalto at tradeshows, product presentation to partners and end users and feedback marketing intelligence to product marketing team to ensure company's products remain competitive in the market.

Qualifications :

Education:

BE/ Btech / Mtech or equivalent

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of technical experience in IT industry with at least 2 years in a customer facing role.

2-4 years of pre-sales or business analyst experience would be advantageous.


Skills:

Has the ability to undertake the requisite background study about the customer/project before walking into a customer call or meeting,

Has the knack to ask probing questions around business concerns driving the customer focus or project focus, and then ask the questions that lead to surfacing the security issues, the discussion around which will lead to solutions that require IDP products.

Good knowledge of the Gemalto IDP products, its features and implementation.

Good business acumen in Security domain and updated with latest trends

Very strong OS and Networking fundamentals and basic programming skills specially in Java , .Net , C/C++ is desirable.

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Highly enthusiastic exhibiting high energy levels

Customer oriented and capable of understanding new technologies, products and solutions to solve complex business problems

Good at managing time and setting up priorities to ensure quality delivery of multiple projects at the same time

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following : (% of time)

To understand the customer requirement and recommend the right product/solution fitment. Ability to provide the complete picture of the solution with pros and cons to the customer.

Executive briefing about the products offering and value addition

To work with sales teams to respond to RFP's and RFI's for security products

To work with the sales team to develop and position solutions that involve the company's products

To create proof of concepts using various programming languages especially in java would be preferred.

To closely work with customers engineering teams (programming) throughout the product integration phase and roll out.

To support and train direct sales representatives and channel partners

To provide front end technical support to large accounts (million dollar and above) and keep tab on their technical status and queries as and when they arise

To help sales engineers of other regions as and when required

Involved in communication with customers and partners on product changes, product upgrades and product innovations.

To Provide feedback and marketing intelligence to sales team and product marketing team to ensure company's products remain competitive in the market.

To Participate and represent Gemalto Identity & Data Protection at appropriate user conferences and trade shows

Participates in Sales organization and strategic sales planning. Communicates product enhancements and new product ideas with Product Management.

Provides weekly reports on SE activities.

Scope of Responsibility:

Assigned Territory – SAARC markets

Providing pre-sales technical support on Gemalto Identity & Data Protection products and assist sales team to achieve revenue targets at the assigned territory.
