Junior Systems Analyst

Job description

As a Systems Analyst, you will be working as part of a team supporting a number of different biometric Solutions (that include Software and equipment supplied by Gemalto as well as 3 rd parties). You will work with the team to support and maintain existing systems and solutions, adhering to the appropriate SLA's. You will also be assisting with developing and deploying new services and solutions where project demands arise.

Junior Systems Analyst Role:

As part of this role:

You will be expected to provide general IT support (and associated functions) to both internal and external customers

·
You will be exposed to a range of standard IT systems, including, Windows Desktop/Server, security software, backup software/solutions, virtualization technologies, linux environments, network switches and firewalls, SQL databases.

·
You will also be exposed to Gemalto's own Biometric hardware and software solutions

·
You will work with the existing team to support all necessary IT systems being utilised

·
Eventually join the on-call rota providing out-of-hours support

·
With the right skillset, there may be opportunities to travel within the EMEA region to deploy and support Gemalto Biometric installations

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

· 
At least 3 years' experience in an IT environment, having worked with Windows Server OS, and managed a Windows Domain with a thorough understanding of IT principles

· 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as communicating with customers and providing documentation will be essential

· 
Autonomous learning essential, whilst working as a key member of a supportive team.

· 
Demonstrate a keen desire for IT, must be able to grasp and understand new and emerging IT technologies

· 
Travel will be required, both in the UK and across the EMEA region

·  Any other duties as reasonably requested.

Ideally you will hold existing security clearance or be able to gain clearance in line with the criteria.
