Hardware Internship M/F

The internship will take place in the Research and Innovation department. Our team called “Hardware Engineering” is intended to imagine, create and provide demonstrators and proofs of concepts, linked to new technologies and digital security environment.
Our customers and sponsors may be End-Customers, Marketing departments, Gemalto Incubation cells or other R&D departments.
The internship will consist in creating a system to connect to a vehicle

A week in the life of

a Hardware intern :

•You will make technical study of a system to connect to a vehicle. The system will be able to check and authenticate the different owners, users or managers of a vehicle, and the integrity of parts or components of the vehicle as well. The system will be built of a “gateway” connected to the automotive bus, offering wireless connectivity and including an embedded Secure Element to ensure digital security. Then, a wearable device will allow user authentication and the usage of a controlling application in smartphone.
• You will participate with the team to the evaluation and choice of the technological bricks, and assemble the concept.
• You will develop the application that must firstly enable and configure the device, and secondly manage data exchanges between the device, the embedded secure element and the vehicle architecture such as different sensors or ECUs in the vehicle.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• To do this internship, you must have good knowledge on: Java, html, electronics (microprocessor, analog and digital)
• We would appreciate if you have knowledge in: software development (embedded programming C++/C/assembler, applicative Java/HTML), Network and field busses protocols basic knowledge
• You need to be fluent in French/English, have good communication skills and autonomy.
• You must be a student in Computer Science or Information Technologies, with electronics skills.
