As a Corporate Transport Manager for the Purchasing team, you will optimize Gemalto transportation spending through rate negotiations and the use of best practices for logistics.

Trainee in Purchasing - Corporate Transport / Main objectives :
• Prepare the new Tender with the global forwarders:
-Research of information about potential suppliers before the launch of the Tender
-Pre-selection of suppliers
-Build up the RFI (Request for Information) and make the follow-up with the pre-selected suppliers
-Selection of suppliers
-Purchasing strategies and saving estimate
• Build up the "Tender Package" (RFQ): baselines, tariff grids, sites constraints and specifications

A week in the life of

a Corporate Transport Manager:

- You will define and deploy the transportation strategy for manufacturing and administrative sites.
- You will identify and select global suppliers and negotiate rates according to the service level required by internal and external customers.
- You will support local Purchasing teams on the selection of local carriers and rate negotiations according to the corporate transport policy.
- You will manage relationships with suppliers to ensure that required service levels are met by the dashboards.
- You will launch and manage global transportation projects.
- You will reduce transportation costs by identifying and implementing logistics best practices with forwarders and manufacturing sites.
- You will follow-up and publish transportation spending, KPIs and optimization projects.
- You will communicate with customers for needs related to transport.

Profil recherché

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Required profile:
• Student in Purchasing, Transport or Business Administration
• Very good computer knowledge and very good skills on Excel
• Fluent in French and in English
• Very dynamic and proactive
• Communicative, to be able to deal with local managers and external suppliers
• Ability to work under (reasonable) pressure as the Tender period is very tense
