Energy Management Trading (EMT), part of the Energy Europe Business Line (BEE), is responsible for the management of the ENGIE Group's assets in continental Europe. The role of EMT is to ensure competitive energy for customers while optimizing created value, within a consistent risk framework. The EMT teams negotiate ENGIE natural gas supply contracts, optimize the assets (power plants) and the energy purchase and sales contracts (long-term gas contracts, Virtual Power Plants, transmission capacity, storage, and re-gasification capacities, etc.), and provide customers with natural gas and electricity, as well as energy price risk management services. The teams manage one of the largest and most diversified energy portfolios in Europe, including electricity, natural gas, coal, oil products, biomass, CO2 and environmental products. EMT manages the Group's portfolio on a day-to-day basis for all ENGIE activities, customers and external counterparts, particularly through its trading activities and presence in Europe's key energy marketplaces. Trainee (M/F) Position located in Paris Your mission
you will be involved in the production of the economical result of GDF Suez Trading. The calculation is based on the operations realized by traders on the markets. You will ensure its consistency through analysis of exposures and market parameters evolution

you will thus acquire strong experience on a large and diversified portfolios of products It’s a worldwide activity. There is a strong interaction with Front Office based in Paris, Brussels, Singapore and Roma. You will have the opportunity to work on very specific products as Complex Options, Gas storages or Power Transports
you will be asked to be able to compute P&L values to challenge official results, and produce more in-depth analysis on specific strategies when needed by Traders. A strong ability to perform analysis is appreciated
you will be proactive on enhancing or developing of our analysis and reporting tools (on quantitative and qualitative performance or Business profitability for example)
you will be asked to contribute on the efficiency of our processes

Profil recherché

you are graduated in Finance or Economics or with relevant experience in a similar activity and having an interest in commodity market operations and related
you are rigorous, fast learner and proactive
you have a team spirit
Excel and knowledge in VBA is an asset
English level: professional profiency
