Editorial assistant internship

Job description

We are looking for enthusiastic and creative editorial assistant to join FQ Magazine for a four-month internship with the potential for a paid position on successful completion.

We're an online lifestyle magazine and website that's been around for 15 years and celebrates fatherhood and parenthood. Plus the lifestyle changes that come with it. Our output ranges from interviewing the likes of Mark Wahlberg and Harry Kane on fatherhood to reviewing the latest pushchairs.

The role will include writing content (such as product reviews), speaking with PR/contributors, editing content and press releases, image searching, brainstorming editorial ideas and any other editorial support.

The role is mainly mobile, but we meet in central London once a week to catch up – we're a small, friendly team and like to keep up keep face-to-face contact as we think that's important. And because we're a small team, you will play an important and valuable part in the team.

The mobile hours are flexible but all we ask is that you're available to commit to at least two days' worth a week.

Ideally we're looking for someone who is good with words (and people) and keen on writing a variery of content for a commercial magazine. As well as someone who is willing to listen and learn.
