- Europe Division is hiring VIEs in the field of Purchasing in Augsburg, Germany.

Our Europe Division Headquarter in Augsburg is home to well-established teams in the field of Program, Series and Commodity Purchasing and offers plenty of opportunities to take on challenging missions in an international, fast-paced environment.
Candidates will during their mission rotate through two of the three teams and work of the following topics:
Program Purchasing:
Be the key link between the program team and the purchasing
Direct performance follow-up from development phase until industrialization: manage suppliers, compare costs with objectives, ensure quality during the program phase, and respect delivery deadlines
Ensure early involvement of plant purchasing team to secure a safe launch of the new production
Series Purchasing:
Monitor the monthly performance for the plants in scope, analyse deviations, define and follow-up on corrective actions
Lead and monitor the execution of the cost productivity actions for his/her plants and ensure adequate escalation in case needed
Support the Material Planner in supply crisis management, and ensure proper escalation where necessary
Be the owner of the Plant Quality Claim System (QSS) and coordinate the cost recovery with the finance department
Screen parts from plants and assess market prices (benchmark) in close collaboration with the Commodity Leaders
Commodity Purchasing:
Support the Commodity Leaders in the development of market strategies
Monitor the supplier productivity and achieve budget savings in close collaboration with Series buyers
Coordinate/perform monthly price updates for the respective commodity
- ensure the implementation and follow-up on any deviation
Master the regular reporting of his/her activities following defined policies and provide accurate forecasts
The VIE position will last 12 months (renewable once until 24 months).

The ideal candidate will have/be:
Master's degree in business or engineering, specialization in purchasing a plus
First internship experience in a purchasing function, preferably in an industrial environment
High level of results orientation with strong written and oral communications skills
Mature, autonomous, able to work in a matrix organization
International mindset, first experience abroad is an advantage
Bi/multi-lingual (English mandatory, German is a plus)
