Supply Chain Senior Consultant – Manufacturing Excellence  

 

The opportunity

 

In EY, we are looking to expand and develop our Supply Chain Consulting practice to meet market demand in a number of areas: 

·  Digital Manufacturing Excellence
·  Procurement Transformation
·  Development of Supply Chain Strategy and Operating Models
·  Supply Chain Process Optimisation and Performance Improvement
·  Sustainable Supply Chain Development  

You are passionate to improve manufacturing operations across all levels of the organization and already have 3-4 years of experience in industry. At EY you will be involved in delivering large scale, complex supply chain management and operations transformation projects, including design and implementation stages. In your role you will be working with client organizations to enhance business performance through digital manufacturing operational excellence programs.

 

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant in Supply Chain, you will: 

·  Have a track record of supporting supply chain work in the marketplace, underpinned with a strong, trusted network
·  Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge in your functional area of manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement.
·  Experience in delivering operational excellence and continuous improvement projects across all levels of an organization.
·  Hands-on mentality, ability and interest to work with the shop floor level operators in manufacturing organizations.
·  Demonstrate ability to quickly learn new processes and uncover new offering that may assist current customer base. 
·  Foster relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels. Consistently deliver quality client services. Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Manage expectations of client service delivery. Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business.
·  Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Develop relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs.

 

To qualify for the role you must have

You will have knowledge and experience in a number of the following areas: 

·  Be degree qualified in supply chain, industrial engineering or business management
·  Have a of minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain and operations environments with special emphasis on manufacturing operations and operational excellence
·  Bring exceptionally high motivation to bring your expertise, focusing on digital manufacturing excellence to help our clients fundamentally improve their operations
·  Characteristics of a forward thinker and self-motivator that thrives on new challenges and adapts quickly to learning new knowledge
·  Stakeholder management and communication experience;
·  Deep knowledge in one, or more, of the specific areas of expertise: manufacturing planning, operational excellence, continuous improvement, end-to-end supply chain management
·  Consulting experience
·  Experience working with SAP/Oracle ERP systems
·  Strong Implementation experiences of digital technology across manufacturing operations
