Global planning - EMEIA Area Admin

Finance Manager role within Global Planning Operations, primarily focussing on supporting the needs of EMEIA Area and Region Finance, from systems architecture point of view, through all aspects of financial plan and forecast, and some elements of market leadership plan, historical pricing tool and cost and NSR rates

The opportunity

We’re looking for an expert on the tools and processes, someone who is able to train users, respond to user questions and problems, and facilitate fixing problems. The role holder will be client focused, supporting a wide network of users across Area and Regions, highly accessible, knowledgeable and responsive. They will also build a wide network across global finance, to be able to deliver fixes and enhancements as needed. The successful candidate is likely to have a finance background, with a strong understanding of EY's financials and structures, and also be keen to work with planning tools such as Oracle Essbase/Hyperion.

Your key responsibilities

 

YEAR ROUND

·  Provide support on planning tools and processes to EMEIA Area and regions users, first point of contact answering questions about functionality, addressing problems, facilitating fixes
·  Utilize global network to find answers to all questions and solve issues
·  Work closely with US and APAC/Japan Area admins to ensure seamless support to users across all Areas and regions
·  Liaise regularly with user community and key stakeholders, to hear feedback on planning tools and processes
·  Work with others in GPO to address user and stakeholder feedback, to agree on and deliver continuous improvement in tools and processes
·  Work with Area and region stakeholders to understand business changes and needs, and, with others in GPO, agree and deliver necessary changes in tools and processes
·  Be a thought leader in improving the technology that supports our processes

FOR EACH PLAN AND FORECAST
·  Support region super users on the Hierarchy Management Tool, to set up plan management structure and reverse mapping
·  Facilitate functional testing of systems that support the Plan and Forecast
·  Facilitate all elements of User Acceptance Testing across EMEIA
·  Organize and lead training sessions and kick off calls with users across all EMEIA regions
·  Facilitate crosswalks and restatements as needed
·  Update security to our systems as needed, and assist with security updates
·  Enable access and security needs across all EMEIA users
·  Assist EMEIA Area stakeholders with plan/forecast region close and consolidation processes

·  The Area Admin provides full support across all the above activities for financial plan and forecast, and more limited support for Market Leadership Plan, Historical Pricing Tool, and cost and NSR rate setting

Skills and attributes for success
·  Finance background
·  An understanding of EY organisational and financial structures is preferred
·  Keen to work with planning tools like Oracle Essbase/Hyperion, and to develop a technical understanding of these tools
·  At least super user level understanding of Oracle Essbase, Planning and Reporting tools is desirable
·  Ability to build a wide network across Area and regions, and gain their trust.
·  Ability to build a network in Global, to leverage to meet user needs and fix user issues
·  Excellent communication and client service skills.  Accessible, responsive, flexible, also clear in explaining technical points covering both modelling tools and financials
·  Ability to work virtually and flexibly across multiple countries, cultures, and timezones
·  Strong MS Excel skills
·  Fluent in English, able to lead calls in English and communicate effectively with non native English speakers
