EY’s R&D Tax and Innovation Incentives team contributes to this ecosystem by assisting companies to access tax incentives, government grants and export incentives relating to innovation, R&D, technology commercialisation and company growth.  The national team consists of programmers, engineers, scientists, lawyers and accountants who have a genuine interest in technology and innovation.  Does this sound like you?

The opportunity
As a result of continued growth, EY’sR&D Tax and Innovation Incentivesteam wishes to hire a number of talented Consultants to engage with Australia’s innovation community (including some of Australia’s top innovators), and support them in accessing the R&D tax incentive, export market development grants and other technology/commercialisation incentives. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will have the opportunity to use your STEM background, in combination with your sound business acumen, to deliver impactful services to EY’s clients.

Your key responsibilities
Drawing on your technical knowledge gained from your education or experience in industry, you will advise and support our clients in accessing the R&D tax incentive, government grants and other innovation/growth incentives. You will engage with technology-active companies to understand their development objectives and drivers, analysing complex project information to assess eligibility for the R&D tax incentive and other government grants. Working in high performing teams, you will prepare detailed work papers and reports to help deliver exceptional results to EY’s clients.

To qualify for the role you must have
·  Undergraduate and/or postgraduate qualifications in at least one of the following STEM disciplines:
·  Information Technology - including computer science, software engineering, data analytics
·  Engineering - including mechatronic, robotics, electrical, mechanical
·  Physical and Mathematical Sciences- including chemistry, physics, geosciences and mathematics
·  Biological Sciences - including biotechnology, medical technology, environmental science, biology
·  Along with your STEM qualification, you may also have undertaken a double degree in business, commerce or law. Double degree applicants, whilst not essential, will be looked at positively
·  At least 1 to 2 years of industry experience
·  Drive to provide excellent service to clients and build a better working world

Ideally, you’ll also have
·  An interest in the latest technology and experience in the creation or application of digital solutions and the role that technology can play in creating a better working world
