Position Summary:

Experience

12 + years in developing data warehousing, big data and business intelligence solutions. 10 + years on Architect related roles.

Technical Skills

·  Should have experience in Data Warehouse Migration Project
·  Experience in requirements gathering and analysis of requirements Validation of business rules
·  Minimum of 2 years working on HADOOP and related tools
·  Should have strong experience on Map-R DB, Hive, SPARK, Pentaho or other ETL related technologies such as sqoop, python, stream sets etc. in big data platform
·  Lead the architect board that reviews and provides suggestion and implement architectural changes for all the Big data based delivery projects
·  Should have architected big data projects and provide suitable solutions to end users in big data landscape
·  Preferred experience on MapR Hadoop.
·  Architecting / designing analytics solutions on legacy and distributed landscape.
·  Setting up Open source analytics landscape / servers / distributed landscape /IDE
·  Experience on cluster design, mapping and capacity planning.
·  Experience in setting up capability for the Hadoop skills
·  Experience in design and development of Large Enterprise Data warehouses and Business Intelligence Solutions.
·  Experience on delivering conceptual, logical and physical data models for the large enterprise data warehouses
·  Experience on dimensional modeling and ER modeling
·  Exposure to Performance issues and suggesting strategic architectural solutions to solve performance issues.
·  Identifies and solves process challenges through simulation of scenarios, analysis of performance metrics and advanced optimization techniques
·  Should have strong experience in support and operations in Hadoop and Big Data eco system related files
·  Should have exposure on Monitoring tools like Nagios, Ganglia or any other Hadoop monitoring tools
·  Should have worked or have strong exposure to Elastic search, kibana tool

Responsibilities

·  Responsible for discussions with Business, conducting Workshops to finalize requirements
·  Responsible to setup / modify architectural standard as well as be a watch dog that the standards are maintained in multiple projects
·  Create maintain the production, development and QA clusters of MapR
·  Effectively handles issues on the platform.
·  Effectively manage the vendor for further innovations and upgrades on the platform
·  Effectively involve vendor if required in production issues to solve
·  Proactively identify performance bottlenecks on the server as the owner of the platform.
·  He will be delivery manager (Operations manager) for the platform and will effectively SLAs and monitor them for the AO team.
·  Effectively get involved in the solution reviews where MapR Hadoop technologies are used
·  Interface with SME's, Big data Solution Architects, Analytics team Product managers and Domain Architects to review to-be developed solution.
·  Test deliverables for build and data quality and ensure requirements are completely met.
·  Participate and support Application Operations team and business in testing, ensure issues raised are resolved.
·  Create standards, guidelines for the design and development of Hadoop technology stack
·  Increase capacity for the Hadoop capability as per required demands
·  Facilitate Analytics development team to deploy development into Productive environments.
·  Collaborate with Advanced Analytics SMEs for issues, solutioning on combined (big data and analytics needs).

Additional Technical Skills:

·  Strong understanding of data warehouse technologies/architectures/best practices and allied concepts such as master data management, enterprise performance management, etc.
·  Strong experience on understanding customer requirements,
·  Arranging workshops for requirements and functional specification creation.
·  Working knowledge of multiple DW/BI technologies/platforms with capability to make technology recommendations
·  Ability to abstract and identify re-usable components within and outside the client engagements
·  Exposure to hardware sizing, volumetric analysis and capacity planning
·  Exposure to effort estimation
·  Ability to communicate effectively with business to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
·  Ability to manage customer expectations effectively.
·  Should be able to work in a group of highly experienced architects
·  Experience in handling IT Service Provider Vendors and team effectively.
·  Flexible and adaptable to take up challenging roles involving Management Roles in addition to the Architectural role.

Communication & Leadership Skills:

·  Excellent oral, written and client presentation skills
·  Experience in facilitation of assessment workshops and meetings.
·  Ability to deliver informative, well-organized presentations.
·  Ability to serve in leadership roles ,Consulting role and communicate with development teams
·  Ability to facilitate effective team interaction
·  Should be flexible for travel ( outside India)

Bachelor's degree Engineering or Masters in computer science from a Reputed Institute
