ENGIE are recruiting for a Technical Services Supervisor to be based at John Newman RC College, Broadway, Chadderton, Oldham OL9 9QY This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, 09:00-17:00 Monday-Friday). On offer is a competitive salary.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Technical Services Supervisor will be responsible for the technical performance and maintenance of standards within the contract.  The role-holder will provide guidance to others on site, demonstrating technical expertise in Facilities Management delivery, to ensure appropriate and compliant solutions and efficient customer service delivery.

Main Responsibilities/Duties:


·  Accountable to the Operations Manager for the day to day supervision, monitoring and performance of the contract.
·  To be accountable for the work flow throughout the team and to work closely with the HelpDesk, to provide efficient and effective maintenance delivery.
·  Supervision of a multi-discipline, mechanical/electrical/fabric workforce.
·  Support Operations Manager in the planning and implementation of change to improve service and operational quality, as well as customer satisfaction.
·  Facilitate co-operation between Technical, HelpDesk and Client staff.
·  Balance and allocate as required: Planned Works, Reactive Works and Lifecycle works, to ensure contract compliance with Service Level agreement time frames.
·  Install, commission and service plant equipment and industrial furniture.
·  Diagnose, fault-find, debug and commission systems, monitor and assess ongoing machine/facility performance, through PPM programme, identifying any additional works required.
·  Price minor works projects for both in-house and contracted works.
·  Ensure maintenance and other records are maintained to an appropriate standard and in accordance with site policy.
·  Requirement to take on Authorised Person, Competent Person or Responsible Person duties, once fully trained and site aware.
·  Interface with suppliers and service providers as required to meet the needs of the service organisational skills, and ability to prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines are met.
·  Carry out return to work interviews and other HR type interventions, as necessary.
·  Lead and organise Team meetings, including delivery of Tool box talks and other training.
·  Escalate issues to Operations Manager, as appropriate.
·  Supervise and participate in the on-call system if required.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience Required:


·  Strong customer focus, with experience of delivering high standards of Customer Service.
·  Apprentice-trained and qualified/experienced within a mechanical/ electrical background.
·  Basic IT skills.
·  Understanding of HR related terminology.
·  Knowledge of Building Management systems.
·  Sound knowledge of the practical implementation of Health and Safety.
·  Preferably experienced with HVAC, pump systems, medical gases, steam systems, pressure systems, water systems and Legionella.
·  Ability to work under pressure, take ownership of problems and deal with them to their conclusion.
·  Sound awareness of risk assessment and working safely with equipment.
·  Currently trained and/or experienced in RP/ AP duties in at least two of the following: water management (Legionella); ventilation in healthcare premises; medical gases, etc. - desirable
·  Previous FM experience within a hospital and/or PFI environment would be advantageous.
·  Good knowledge, experience and understanding of HTMS would be advantageous
