Engie are looking for a Technical Development Assistant to join our team in Wath. The overarching objectives of the role is to support operational elements of Lifestyle developments, contribution towards immediate growth opportunities and promote Lifestyles long term expansion. You will be confident when communicating, as well as someone who is eager to learn new skills and develop in their role.

What is your day to day?

• Project Delivery. Liaise closely with the site-based delivery team dealing with technical queries from the site management team, sub-contractors, suppliers, consultants, customer care issues and actively support the sales team.
• Scheme Production, supporting the Technical Director across the full lifecycle of a new build residential development from inception to completion whilst working on multiple schemes simultaneously.
• Product Specification, make certain the Lifestyle standard specification keeps abreast of product development and supports our aspiration to be viewed as a brand leader, providing products that enhance our customers everyday life. You will also demonstrate understanding of Zero Carbon initiatives, Future Homes Standards, MMC and off-site delivery.
• Lifestyle Business Plan Pipeline, undertake feasibility appraisals at both design and planning stages to deliver the strategic business plan key milestone targets to agreed dates and quality of design, whilst adhering to the processes, policies, standards, and procedures of Lifestyle @ Engie.

Who are you?

Skills and abilities
• Proficient in the use of MS Project, Sketchup, Microsoft Excel.
• APM or equivalent project management processes.
• Confident oral and written communication skills.
• Development awareness.
• Communicate effectively with all those who have a stake in the work.
• Effectively manage time to meet deadlines.
• Ability to negotiate and influence and the ability to manage a team.

Experience
Previous experience within the new build development environment.
• Up to date relevant knowledge of the planning process, M4(2): Category 2 – Accessible and adaptable dwellings, Happi design principles.
• Understanding and appreciation of housing building construction.
• An awareness of MMC. Modular, volumetric, and off-site construction methodologies.
• Experience of the handover of a completed construction project.
• Up to date relevant knowledge of Health and Safety legislation (SHEQ Level L2).
