ENGIE are recruiting for a Switchboard Operator to be based in Durham, DH15TW. This is a temporary 36 month, zero hour contract working part-time hours. On offer is a salary of £9.23 per hour.

Rota will be given on a weekly basis, working hours between 11:00-17:00 Monday to Friday.

Role Overview

You will form part of a team providing a continuous telephone switchboard service within a busy working environment for the Durham and Darlington Acute Hospital Trust.

· 
Responsible for the operation of the switchboard consol and bleep system

· 
Respond to a high volume of outgoing and incoming calls.

· 
Responsible for the completion of doctors on call rota and submitting copy to the Accident & Emergency department.

· 
Provide support to the Porter helpdesk

· 
Report faults on extensions, exchange lines, private circuits, and staff location systems.

Ideal Qualifications

·  Preferred hospital switchboard operator experience but Switchboard operator experience is essential.
·  Previous experience working in a busy environment
·  Ability to work well under pressure
·  Computer Literate
·  Excellent Communication Skills
·  Undertake and pass Standard DBS Check
