To support the expansion of ENGIE Impact in Australia and bring the highest standard of consulting services to ENGIE Impact’s clients we are looking for a Sustainability Data Analyst.

 

As a Sustainability Data Analyst you are part of a diverse team of technical experts and strategists responsible for helping ENGIE Impact’s clients navigate climate change and sustainability

 

The role will be accountable to ENGIE Impact Australia Senior Manager and the role can be worked flexibly between home and our Southbank office- hybrid model.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Provide advisory services leveraging ENGIE Impact’s methods, tools, and assets to design and deliver solutions, including:

·  Collecting and analysing past and future climate, energy, emissions and biodiversity data
·  Creating engaging data visualizations
·  Undertaking systematized evaluation of climate and nature risks across an organisation’s value chain
·  Energy system modelling, understanding a baseline energy profile and undertaking financial modelling of a zero carbon power system.
·  Modelling the financial impact of a defined set of climate and natural capital risks (and opportunities)
·  Developing decarbonisation, adaptation roadmaps and implementation plans
·  Providing technical insights on decarbonisation, adaptation and nature-based technologies and their applications
·  Preparing reports and presentations

 

About You:

We are looking for talented and motivated people to join our team.

 

The successful incumbent will have practical experience working across the organisation’s value chain to assess risks and deliver a response plan.

 

You possess strong advisory skills: analytical mindset to identify client issues, creativity to lay out a set of assumptions to build solutions, capacity to translate strategy vision into concrete actions. You have sound experience working with large volumes of data; synthesizing these into meaningful visual communications.

 

In addition, the successful incumbent will have business strategy skills (business case modelling, business model, financial analysis) and data management skills: data science, coding (Python, R), structured data analysis, data visualization tools. Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building: collaborative spirit, capacity to develop and leverage your network, capacity to work in multicultural team and have leadership among your team.

 

Experience with energy, emissions, climate, natural capital or biodiversity assessment will be well regarded.
