The Radwaste & Radiation Protection Group, which is part of the Radwaste and D&D Department, is the competence center in charge of assisting clients of the nuclear segment, with high added value consulting and engineering for the management of radioactive waste and the decommissioning of nuclear installations.

 

Your function

 

In the frame of its activities, the competence centre supports a customer, ONSF (ONDRAF Site Fleurus), in the clean-up and decommissioning activities of the former Best Medical facilities featuring two cyclotrons that are located on the site of Fleurus.

You will integrate our team that supports the customer on site by studying radwaste management and decommissioning issues. Those studies encompass following activities:

·  Defining appropriate clean-up and decommissioning strategies;
·  Drafting technical specifications for the execution of clean-up and decommissioning activities;
·  Drafting tender comparison reports for the selection of contractors;Controlling the execution of works by the selected contractors;
·  Drafting procedures for the execution of clean-up and decommissioning works by dedicated personnel.

·  You are a civil or industrial engineer with a strong will to develop your technical expertise;
·  Experience in the nuclear industry and particularly in radwaste management and decommissioning is an asset;
·  Your mother tongue is French and you are fluent in English and/or Dutch.
·  You are able to draw up technical documents in French and in English or Dutch;
·  You are familiar with the MS-Office software suite, Visual Basic, Access and with AutoCAD or similar software;
·  You are autonomous and you like teamwork;
·  You are available and open to gain new competencies as well as to share them.
