INTERNSHIP / CORPORATE VENTURE CAPITAL DIVISION – ENGIE SA
Introduction
ENGIE New Ventures is the corporate venture capital fund of ENGIE S.A. You will have the chance to work with highly experienced professionals with a background in VC investments, consulting and industry, who work on the future of the Cleantech space; renewable energy, energy efficiency and emerging technologies.
At ENGIE you will be given the unique chance to actively work on VC investments and be an integrated member of the team. We are looking for interns to work with our Team in Paris la Défense for a period of 5-6 months (starting October 2017 – dates can be flexible) to perform analyses of potential investments, carry out market research, assist with portfolio management tasks and help with marketing related activities. We are looking for dynamic students with a heightened interest in Investments, Corporate Finance, the Energy sector and its transition to decentralization, decarbonization and digitalization.

Main Tasks
· Scout and screen startups, based on corporate’s specific parameters, innovation objectives, and investment criteria
· Process and analyze data using software and databases: analyze technology, industry, and market trends and synthesize information for presentations & reports
· Being part of a due diligence team and preparing investment files
· Collecting financial data of our portfolio startups for the periodical reporting
· Interact with the sponsoring Business Units
· Participate in dealflow meetings
Skills
You are :
· Business/Engineering school Student/Graduate (Bac +4/5)
· Excellent academic credentials and professional drive
· Fluent in French and English
· A good communicator, primarily within a team, with good interpersonal skills
· Strong analytical skills coupled with knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
· Drive, Enthusiasm and Motivation
· Interest in emerging technologies (AI, Robotics, Fintech, IoT, AR/VR, etc.)
