Position :                 

Business Development Oversight (BDO) officer

With a turnover of 5.3 M€ and 15,000 staff, Europe SNC owns an ambitious development roadmap over 16 countries in the field of energy efficiency, energy transition and innovative models. This position will be an accelerator of experience and skills for someone with a strong operational acumen who wishes to develop himself in Business Development or Business Control.

Objective

Assist the BDO Director in managing the BDO activity and reviewing business development projects within the BU (M&A,  infrastructure projects…), in terms of strategic alignment, business and technical capacity, financial and legal soundness, and value brought by projects

·   Group and BU Commitment Committees

·   At BU level : BU management, Head of Business Development, Business Developers and other resources involved in BD process

·   At country level : Country manager, head of BD, BDO delegates

·   Support departments : Insurance, AIFA, Tax, Corporate Finance, legal, technology

 

 

Main Activities

 

·         Organizes the governance of development projects of the BU

·         Reviews project supporting material: feasibility studies, advance notices, investment Note, assumption book, valuation and risk& return analysis

·         Prepares investment decisions, helps coordinate and support the approval process at country, BU and Group levels

·         Drafts investment committee minutes

·         Communicates with BD and Country affiliates to understand and support their development projects

Challenge

 

·        Smoothen the project development governance and the BDO process

·        Promote an operational / non bureaucratic approach

·        Board with BDO stakeholders (Countries affiliates, other Corporate or BU departments…) to organize the project governance in an efficient and smooth way

·        Harmonize the development pipeline of the BU

Minimum required Qualifications

Education & Experience

·        Graduate degree in engineering or economics

·        Professional practice acquired during internship in finance or business development activities

·        International (Europe) exposure or mindset
