What You Can Expect

As our Pricing, Intern you will be self-motivated individuals with an appetite to learn and a strong desire to pursue a career in trading or energy risk management. This opportunity will assist in developing your professional skills by participating in the pricing, structuring, load management and profitability analysis of the ENGIE North America’s retail power division. Combining multiple data sources, you will identify opportunities, propose solutions and generate actionable insights in support and sales, pricing and load activities. This internship program spans three (3) months, running from June 3, 2024  thru August 10, 2024 and reports to the Pricing & Load Management Sr. Analyst.

 

·  Research and identify solutions for complex business problems related to pricing and load management
·  Support the development and enhancement of models and system platforms for pricing and load management
·  Analyze price, usage, and demand charge risks for customers on retail natural power products
·  Assign and price product structures according to Engie Resources' guidelines and book transactions into the risk system
·  Produce ad-hoc analysis on customer load characteristics, cost components, and regulatory issues to enhance competitiveness and profitability

 

 

What You’ll Bring

·  You are at least a sophomore pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master's with a focus in Finance, Data Science, or a related field
·  You are an excellent communicator, both orally and in writing
·  You have strong analytical and statistical skills, with the ability to convey complex technical analysis to diverse audiences, including senior leadership
·  You possess problem-solving abilities and can work effectively in project teams
·  You have a deep understanding of energy market fundamentals, including customer usage properties and pricing methodologies
·  You are proficient in MS Excel and have experience in extracting, transforming, and managing large quantities of data using tools such as VBA, SQL, and Microsoft Power BI
·  You possess strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills, with a high level of attention to detail

 

 

 

Additional Details

·  This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy, consisting of  with a minimum of three (3) days in the Houston, TX office
·  Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing
·  Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

 

Compensation

Salary Range:   $21.00-$32.00 USD hourly

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
