Job description



The Role:

The Financial Accountant will support the Accounting and Business Control team with preparing statutory accounts for financial year end, perform month end transactions, maintain the general ledger and assist with the balance sheet reconciliations and preparing BAS returns for GST.

Key Responsibilities:

·  Assist in the preparation of financial statements, and in providing information for the auditors at year end.
·  Assist with month end transactions where required.
·  Assist in preparing account reconciliations, including Balance Sheet, Bank and Inter-company reconciliations where required.
·  Assist with provision of other accounting services including preparation of BAS returns to the ATO, information to Australian Bureau of Statistics where required.
·  Assist with uploading month end results into the group reporting tools where required.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have financial accounting experience and possess excellent prioritisation skills and able to manage complexity and non-routine tasks. You will be action oriented with well developed communication skills and able to work both autonomously and collaboratively with others. Ideally you will be studying towards or have achieved CA or CPA qualifications.
