Title of job: Engineer (VIE)
Reports to: Technical Manager
Division / department: Technical Division
Location: IZGAZ
- Turkey, Kocaeli
Purpose of the job:
- Reporting to Technical Managerial Lines in IZGAZ, working for engineering works of IZGAZ on a day to day basis. The candidate will receive a training during 13 weeks in AFG (Association Française du Gaz) in Paris followed by an internship of 4 months.
Key Accountabilities:
- To carry out works and activities which are intended to improve productivity and efficiency of technical activities of the company;
- To ensure that necessary measures are implemented in a timely manner for the works assigned to him/her in order to operate the network in a safe manner in accordance with applicable regulations, procedures, and specifications
- Plan the work to be done and organize things so that deadlines are met
- Resolve technical or any other problems in coordination with relevant parties
- Supervise, coordinate different teams on site when assigned
- Assist in-house engineers, technical managers and third party contractors in the scope of his/her task
- Interfacing with the engineering, technical and site teams
- Searching, proposing and implementing best practices
- Participating to the project teams, meetings and workshops
HEALTH AND SAFETY:
- Proactively collaborate with the continuous improvement of the H&S management system. Including immediate reporting, when necessary.
- Proactively benefit from the H&S training activities.
- Implement the measures defined by IS management related to H&S.
- Proactively collaborate in the H&S drills.
- Be responsible of his own safety, his colleagues and contractors, together with the H&S officer.
ENVIRONMENT:
- Proactively collaborate with the continuous improvement of the environment management system. Including immediate reporting, when necessary.
- Proactively benefit from the environment training activities.
- To know and comply with the responsibilities that are assigned to this position in the different documents of the environmental management system.
- Take into account environmental impact when selecting IS products and materials.
QUALITY:
- Proactively collaborate with the continuous improvement of the quality management system. Including immediate reporting, when necessary.
- Proactively benefit from the quality training activities.
- To know and comply with the responsibilities that are assigned to this position in the different documents of the quality management system.

Knowledge and skills:
The job holder will have:
- Fluent in Turkish and French, English speaking is an asset
- Turkish nationality
- To be able to use MS Office applications adequately.
- Strong analytical and presentation skills

- Open for learning and developing his/her self
- Ability to work in multi-cultural environment
Experience:
The job holder will have:
- Up to 2 years of in required engineering works would be appreciate
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering preferably in Civil, electrical, mechanic, industrial or Urban Planning engineer
