Engie are recruiting for an Electrician to be based in Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh 51 Little France Crescent Old Dalkeith Road Edinburgh EH16 4SA. This is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri 9.00-17.00. On offer is a salary dependant on experience.
The role holder will report to the Electrical Supervisor.
Responsibilities:

•To work in accordance with the requirements of the Company's rules for the operation of both Low and High Voltage Systems as appointed approved and/or competent person for the organisation
•Liaise with Maintenance Supervisors and Facilities Services Manager regarding plant or equipment failures and to request the supply of goods and/ or services as necessary.
•Undertake essential repair and fault finding on voltage networks, critical systems and equipment. Utilising all relevant drawings, schematics and cause effect analysis, carry out detailed examination to gain a solution.
•Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections, commissioning and testing in accordance with published procedures, completing all report sheets and test certificates as necessary and mark up any drawing alterations.
•Complete all task/risk assessments sheets and method statements relating to work.
•Responsible for undertaking electrical installations, inspection and testing in accordance with the latest edition of the Wiring Regulations BS7671 and notify the Maintenance Supervisor of any deviations from the regulations.
•Use of all relevant tools and equipment, within safety guidelines as necessary, for the completion of works, ensuring full compliance with the Company's Guidelines and Safe System of Work E.g. Risk Assessment, Site Safety, Fire Safety, Control of Infection and Hazardous Substances.

•Required qualifications are an appropriately recognised electrical apprenticeship, C&G, Scotvec (SVQ3), or equivalent, C&G2391 
•lEE 17th Edition.
The post holder will be able to demonstrate experience in maintenance and repair of a wide and varied range of electrical and mechanical equipment, servicing large industrial units such as boilers and heating and ventilation distribution systems (amongst other critical systems) serving all properties within a hospital environment. Therefore, besides a degree of physical fitness and commitment, a very high standard on all fronts is essential
