ENGIE are recruiting for a Design Coordinator to be based in Manchester. This is a permanent full-time role working Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.

To ensure that all designs, drawings and permissions are produced in compliance with the contract and in time for future designs, procurement and construction activities to proceed as planned. To understand, adhere and implement the company SHEQ policy/strategy.

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

· 
Act as point of contact for design issues

· 
Establishment of design management protocols

· 
Clear communication of expectations for design deliverables with designers / design sub-contractors

· 
Control and integration of sub-contractor design elements

· 
Delivery of fully co-coordinated, detailed and compliant design proposals (including system layouts and respective drawings), in time and within budget for further design work, procurement and construction activities

· 
To coordinate effectively and efficiently with relevant procurement and pre/post-construction project stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery of workstreams

· 
Leading and minuting design team meetings

· 
Liaison with the commercial team for cost checking

· 
Monitoring design production and ongoing management of the design stage tracker

· 
Design reviews, handovers and presentations to client teams and internally within ENGIE

· 
Monitoring of design and resolution of technical queries

· 
Distribution of design information

· 
Preparation and submission of client RFI's along with administration of client RFI responses

· 
Completion, maintenance and monitoring of records

· 
Document management

· 
Reporting of design progress, RFI status and issues on a weekly basis

· 
Co-ordinate and manage any performance requirements and ensure these are achieved

· 
Any other reasonable management request

Required:

Skills and abilities

·  Able to organise document distribution
·  Able to programme design works
·  Able to prioritise and organise workflow
·  Technical and process minded

Experience

·  Knowledge of contractual requirements of design and build contracts
·  Knowledge of design process and resourcing requirements
·  Knowledge of design requirements for procurement and construction purposes
·  Technical understanding of substructures, structures, services and finishes solutions
·  Knowledge of building regulations / sustainability
