Global Energy Management (GEM) est l'une des 24 « business units » du Groupe ENGIE. Organisation:

Global Energy Market (GEM) is one of the global business units of ENGIE. Its mission is to ensure the competitiveness of the group's business units and develop its own franchise trough a comprehensive range of services related to energy management. The French company Engie Global Markets (EGM) is part from GEM, and MIFID licensed as investment firm. As such, the firm has to comply with several financial obligations. Within the RISK department, Capital & Performance Management (CPM) plays a strategic role in providing clear analyses for Top management regarding risk/return of large transactions, Capital requirements and in the future EMIR. In addition, the team provides some transversal tasks for the CRO needed for decision making at RISK level.

Contexte:

CPM is part of Operational & Transversal Risk (OTR) directly attached to the Chief Risk Officer of GEM. You will report to the CPM team leader. You will have frequent interactions with different RISK teams, Front office, the Chief Risk Officer and GEM top management.

Rôle:

As a CPM Officer, you will have a diverse set of tasks, all of them centered around bringing together the different risk types (e.g. Credit Risk, Market Risk, Liquidity Risk) mainly quantitative but also qualitative. 1. Perform Risk/Return analysis on large deals for Origination Committee Economic Value Added (EVA) is becoming a widely used concept in GEM strategic decision making. You will be a key expert in the matter and requested to make risk/return analyses. You will be an ambassador to further embed the methodology and increase risk cost awareness throughout GEM. To reach this target, your main objective will be : • Provide clear and to the point risk/return analyses for the Origination committee, new business developments and remuneration scorecards • Further embedding EVA methodology by creation/update tools for front office allowing quick and easy assessment of risk/return. • Back testing the methodology, document the EVA processes and propose improvements. • Promote front office awareness of risk/return analysis, train them and help them take ownership of these analyses. 2. Creation of an Economic Capital Framework and implement ICAAP Engie Global Markets, as a regulated entity needs to develop an Internal Capital Adequacy Program (ICAAP). This framework needs to ensure that EGM is sufficiently capitalized taken into account the different risks (e.g. market, credit risk) taken and is embedded in the organization. You will be leading this new project and will closely work together with the other risk teams using their tools and current EVA methodology as building blocks. In a second stage the ICAAP will be further rolled-out in GEM. 3. Provide Emir recommendations for large transactions and new activities Support the Front and origination teams by providing EMIR recommendations on the risk reducing aspects of new activities in GEM and/or origination transactions, ensure transversal reporting of non-risk reducing transactions of GEM towards Group and participate in projects and support audits related to EMIR. Strong cooperation model with Regulation, Legal and Market risk teams. 4. Act as a transversal Risk Officer Within Risk there is a need to ensure transversally across the different risk teams around specific topics. You will be assigned transversal coordination tasks directly from the Chief Risk Officer of GEM in order to prepare the decision making.

You will receive a great level of autonomy and possibility to introduce your ideas in a strategic project. Your analyses will be used by traders but also by GEM top management to make decisions on large transactions and capital management. Your transversal Risk tasks will allow you to liaise with all RISK teams and to directly help prepare the decision making for the Chief Risk Officer of GEM. • Accurate risk return analysis of large transactions presented to the origination committee or CDE level (COMEX level) • Roll-out of a full ICAAP framework including an economic capital framework • Clear EMIR recommendations and securing the overall EMIR documentation. • Delivery on transversal RISK tasks allowing clear decision making at RISK department level.
