For the fields of recovery, mail, CRM, HR and technical assistance, your principle job is to help improve purchasing performance in the Business Support Achats (BSA) department. Are concerned: the communication and customer relations' product families and domains, which comprises managing a purchasing volume of greater than €40M per annum. You will be reporting to the Head of Department for Belgium.

Your day as a Purchaser at ENGIE will consist out of the following activities:

Guided by ENGIE Group's purchasing policy and strategic directions, which are defined by the product family buyers, the CRM (Communication & Customer Relationship) Buyer manages and implements purchasing procedures for one or several purchasing sub-domains, including portfolios of an operational nature (purchase requests, budget availability, local sourcing) in order to meet the needs of our customer entities.

Main activities:
·  working independently (set up and steer purchasing processes related to purchase requests allocated to you by the head of the purchasing department, monitor contracts and contract execution and collect feedback, etc.)
·  provide reports to the head of the purchasing department on a regular basis concerning progress in your activities and/or action plans
·  manage the consultation process from start to finish
·  prepare and submit, in accordance with Group regulations, reports on earnings to follow up your actions. Using business reporting tools, create reports and document the earnings information, which is then validated by our customers
·  in your role as a buyer you are responsible for tracking and monitoring the execution of contracts that you have negotiated and for financial performance in your designated purchasing tasks

This position is in a friendly and energetic team. The purchasing categories will be related to communication activities (media agencies, etc.) and customer relations: recovery, mail, CRM, HR and technical assistance. Nonetheless, the categories in your portfolio may evolve based on changes in demand and organisation.

·  help to improve the performance of the purchasing department (BSA)
·  conveying a positive image of the Group in its affairs and complying with the Group's ethical and professional codes of conduct

Are the following skills part of your professional DNA?

·  post-graduate university degree or equivalent (Masters) and at least three years' purchasing experience in a similar post
·  extensive experience in purchasing or B2C
·  familiar with ERP computing tools and understand the operating principles
·  inquisitive by nature with a good business sense and a strong preference for B2C activities
·  training in purchasing and supply processing methods with recognised analytical and negotiating skills
·  strong negotiating skills doing business with the market's leaders would be an advantage
·  motivated by strong team spirit, possessing excellent inter-personal skills and comfortable dealing with a variety of different people
·  someone who strives for excellence and wants to achieve satisfactory results and high work standards for their customers
·  independent, meticulous and a team player
·  some travel is required (Belgium and France)
·  proficiency in Dutch, French and English is essential

·  measuring and improving supplier performance
·  helping to define/revise Group policies
·  providing support to our customers to optimising their expenditure
·  conducting internal controls for the department
·  reducing discrepancies in the purchasing/procurement management system
