POSITION DESCRIPTION:
EPS Lean Engineer / EPS Trainer

OBJECTIVES
• Contribute to the mind-set change toward World Class Manufacturing operations through disciplined application of Lean Manufacturing tools and processes deployed through the Electrolux Production System (EPS).
• Daily operative support and coaching to workshops, Gemba Teamwork and improvement activities.
• Apply kaizen tools according to EPS Model (people involvement, standard, 5s, Visual Management) to support operations to reach quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Fully collaborate with and support of the plant engineering department.
• Support and lead team dedicated to the implementation of project relevant to the main target of the plant.
• Communicate updated information about the EPS implementation to the plant manager and management team.
• Update EPS information on the line EPS board and the central EPS corner.
• Manage the PDCA database daily in order to sustain the continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

MANAGE THE CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PROCESS WITHIN THE PLATFORM
• Organize improvement workshops according to standard methodologies, tools (JIT, Autoquality, 5S, etc) and EPS Approach.
• Manage PDCAs (reinforcing the ACT step of continuous improvement activities)
• Enhance team work with cross department functions.
• Continuously support operators and Gemba Team leaders.
• Carry out training concerning EPS contents and Electrolux Professional tasks.
• Follow existing EPS standards.

DEFINITION OF THE EPS DEPLOYMENT PLAN
• Define relevant EPS deployment Plan in cooperation with the Platform Management Team.

MANTAIN THE “SUGGESTION AND REWARDING” SYSTEM
• Maintain and develop “Suggestion and Rewarding System” monthly according to the EPS guidelines.

TRAINING THE PLATFORM PEOPLE
• Regularly organize trainings and workshop for all Platform people, communicating processes and obtained results due to EPS implementation.

DEVELOPMENT OF THE AUDIT SYSTEM 
• Regularly carry out the Platform internal audit aimed at checking compliance with the EPS approach.
• Follow the yearly central EPS audit preparing in advance all the pre-requirements and requested information

DEVELOPMENT OF THE EPS MODEL
• Further develop EPS model and apply it to Platform.
• Support and drive implementation of the EPS.
• Participate in the yearly EPS world-wide training.
• Participate in the yearly EPS award.
• Update the plant standards according to the central EPS guidelines.

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL BENCHMARKING
• Participate in the external benchmark.
• Manage the internal benchmark to share best practices.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• University degree in Mechanics or Industrial Engineering  

LANGUAGE :
• French, English

EXPERIENCE :            
• Up to 2 years experience as process engineer with skills in continuous improvement.
