Trading Assistant Trainee (internship)

Within GEM, for gas perimeter, the Illiquid & Complex Markets (ICM) trading desk is currently looking to hire a Trainee (part of Trading department) as from May 2016 for 6 months

Your mission

Intern will help as a junior trader on ICM Gas & Power desk :

·  price& book ICM flows (hedging of GEM Gas portfolio)
·  hedge ICM flows by splitting (1) the part sent to other trading desks from (2) the part directly managed by ICM desk
·  contribute to develop desk strategies to manage illiquid and big positions: cost-risk analysis, studies based on econometrics and mathematical finance, medium term market evolutions views, etc
·  participate in the improvement of desk processes (IT development, etc.)
·  ensure internal trading rules are applied (limits, compliance, etc.)
·  contribute to promote team spirit and constructive relationship with other teams: other trading desks, trading support functions and other GEM teams

Profil recherché

·  you are doing a Master/PhD in Mathematics, Finance or following an Engineer cycle
·  a first experience on a trading floor would be a plus
·  you have a good level in English and French
·  you have a good knowledge on VBA & Excel
·  you are analytical
·  you are synthetic
·  you are rigorous
