Products and Operations University Relations Event Program Manager (Advisor, Project/Program Management) – Hopkinton, MA (R92671)

Join a global talent development team supporting university recruiting & talent development programs for a 30,000 person organization.  The ideal candidate for this role is inspired by providing high quality experiences to candidates & employees, and is a proven team player who can work independently and at all levels of the organization.  This person will ensure Dell’s Products & Operations organization achieves university recruiting goals while improving the university relations hiring engine.  In addition to supporting recent grad efforts, this individual will assist with several talent development programs.  The Products and Operations (P&O) team is seeking an Events Program Manager to manage talent development activities in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. This individual partners with business contacts, HR, and Talent Acquisition locally to execute strategy and best practices.

Role Responsibilities

-Partner with Global Intern PM to plan local and organization wide events and speaker engagements 

-Partner with TA/HR to understand local TA/HR activities (ex. Onboarding)

-Manage and drive local P&O program activities and timelines

-Create and drive effective communications with interns, stakeholders and Global Intern PM

-Work closely with cross-functional business partners to manage expectations and gain support for program efforts

-Escalate issues in a timely manner

-Regularly review processes to identify streamlining opportunities 

-Support the UR, Intern, Discover Dell and IDP Programs

-Attend and participate in program planning team meetings

-Partner with local Talent Acquisition, HR, and stakeholders to ensure alignment of activities

-Execute local events and logistics

-Manage event communications

Requirements

-5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3+ years with a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience

-Project management experience

-Ability to lead and influence stakeholders

-Ability to work independently and in team environment

-Strong written and verbal communication skills

-Ability to summarize and present information in a concise and clear manner for executive review and approval

-Organizational and analytical skills; Ability to deal with ambiguity and drive for results
