What will your role be? 
You will work in the Research & Development (R&D) department. You will mainly focus on improving the Quintiq software by performing detailed root-cause analysis of complex software problems. Your main contacts will be consultants implementing Quintiq solutions on the one hand, and R&D developers responsible for particular components of the Quintiq software on the other hand. You will provide project teams all over the world with technical software expertise to help them with the problems they might experience. Your passion should be to get to the very bottom of the software-related incidents and solving them would be even more rewarding for you. That is why you double your efforts where others give up.


You will also facilitate the communication between the different parties involved to speed up the resolution, to manage expectations and to make sure that everything is understood by all parties. You should be able to understand complex technical problem description and be able to explain them in an easy to understand language. 


The challenges ahead

·  Lead and facilitate the root-cause analysis of critical software problems with the help of your colleagues in R&D
·  Participate in working out particular solutions for the identified problems
·  Address difficult questions about the Quintiq software and about its design/capabilities
·  Be involved and suggest Request for Change in the software
·  Occasionally productize software knowledge by communicating and documenting your findings, experience and lessons-learned
·  Lead and own internal improvement projects (software quality, more effective support/development processes, etc.)


Your key success factors

·  Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or similar
·  High abstraction capabilities and analytical skills
·  Passion for identifying, analyzing, troubleshooting and solving complex software problems
·  Experience in software troubleshooting or in high level technical support
·  Experience with object-oriented 3rd/4th generation languages (e.g. C++, Java, Prolog, LISP, etc.)
·  Experience with object-oriented modelling methodologies (e.g. UML)
·  Understanding of modern software architecture

·  Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
·  Affinity with the domain of supply chain planning and optimization is a clear advantage Please provide your resume and cover letter in English.
