The Revenue Recognition Analyst will work closely with the revenue recognition team on accurate accounting for software sales transactions in our European market. As a member of the revenue team, you will be responsible for monitoring revenue plans in the contract system for proper processing, responsible for reconciliation of selected revenue and related balance sheet accounts, as well as analysis of revenue and customer orders.
You will work with internal customers to resolve and answer revenue related inquiries Although revenue recognition experience is not required for this position, a strong desire to learn revenue recognition and commercial contracting is expected for the right candidate.

What will your role be?
· Assist Revenue Recognition Manager and Senior Revenue Analysts as necessary in preparing and reviewing contract set-ups in PeopleSoft and the amounts reported in the general ledger for selected deals.
· Analyze revenue accounts and prepare, review, and share existing standard reports.
· Prepare Revenue and Related Account reconciliations under the guidance of Senior Revenue Analysts and Revenue Manager.
· Prepare and enter other revenue related journal entries.
· Responsible for working with entities on monthly journal entries, and month end reports and reconciliations.
· Work with internal staff to create additional revenue reports as deemed necessary.
· Participate in various special projects as needed including IFRS 15.
· Interact with and provide information to internal and external auditors as necessary.
Your key success factors:
· Bachelor’s Degree (Accounting preferred) 2-5 years of accounting experience in the software or high tech industry (Revenue recognition experience is a plus) or Big 4 experience
· Strong communication skills in partnering with other internal groups and management
· Experience and competence in using integrated ERP software (PeopleSoft preferred)
· Strong Microsoft Office user skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Ability to analyze, interpret, and present financial information to various internal business contacts
· Self-Motivated & detail oriented with the ability to work independently under general supervision
· Ability to prioritize actions and manage multiple deadlines and tight quarter end deadlines
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
