Responsibilities:

·  Manage relationships and business results for Chicago Wholesale and Independent Retailers.
·  Responsible for supporting all aspects of the business including assortment, merchandising, pricing, and shelving
·  Growing sales, profit margin, and market share while effectively managing trade expenses
·  Lead cross functional team communication (Retail, Supply Chain, Planning) related to promotion, merchandising, and distribution
·  Manage general account duties including promotional allowance contracts, new item set up, and live event management
·  Manage internal updates related to planning system, merchandising calendar, distribution, and broker priorities
·  Identifying sales targets and opportunities; monitoring and execution of new products, promotions, and retail execution
·  Maintaining and developing relationships with Customer Category team
·  Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans based on understanding of assortment voids, opportunity gaps, and category trends
·  Executing company direction on new item launches and promotional plans
·  Analyzing and leveraging syndicated and customer internal data to derive account-level strategies
·  Monitoring results, identifying risks & proposing corrective actions
·  Identifying upsides & proposing ideas to capitalize on opportunities
·  Leveraging internal resources such as Category Management, Retail, Planning, and Marketing to partner with retailers for mutual success
·  Position requires travelling in/around metro Chicago marketplace. Overnights TBD once territory is clearly defined. Key Chicago customer banners will be supplied by Central Grocers.

 

Qualifications:

·  Fluent in speaking Spanish
·  4 year business or related degree
·  3-4 years minimum experience with a CPG company in Sales, Marketing, Operations, Category Manager, or related field
·  Prior experience working with major retailers
·  Experience working directly with retail buyers
·  Teamwork experience
·  Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
·  Analytical background and experience analyzing sales trends and making thoughtful recommendations
·  Strong business acumen and communication skills
·  Ability to take thoughtful risks
·  Self-motivated and driven to be successful
·  Open to career progression opportunities that may require relocation
