About the Job

As our new UX intern, you will be working within the User eXperience team, a Community of more than 90 people located all over the world with the same mission: collaborate with product and packaging teams to create relevant innovations by bringing user understanding and inputs all along the innovation process. Your key role will be to lead the sensory initiatives to drive innovation, aiming to guide the development of the product on how to design the best offer where patient and business needs meet. In the framework of your project, you will be expected to interact with different functions within Nutricia (product developer, marketing, medical affairs and science team...) and with external stakeholders (agency, flavour houses and external partners if relevant).

So, what will you do in practice?

·  Create overview on past learnings to capitalize on existing knowledge with a sensory design approach to impact on innovations.
·  Bring user centric mindset into the project team and drive innovation using sensory and consumer methodologies.
·  Lead the flavour development process of key product innovations, in collaboration with internal developers and external partners (such as flavour houses).
·  Analyse and translate the learnings into recommendation to the project team.
·  Communicate your learning to different stakeholder within the company via different channel.

About You

You are a master student in food science with knowledge in sensory and consumer science or you are a master student in culinary arts. Skills in flavour application & evaluation are a bonus. You are able to collect, organize and analyse data from different sources and translate it into actionable relevant insights. You have expertise in product development with culinary approach. You are a good communicator who likes to work in a team and facilitate meetings and/or workshops. You are proactive, curious and autonomous. Being comfortable with digital tools is a plus!

Key criteria to be eligible for this internship:

·  You are enrolled in a university for the whole duration of the internship (if you are a non-EU citizen you must be enrolled in a Dutch university to be eligible for this internship)
·  You are fluent in English—both verbal and written
·  You are available to start 15th of January 2021 for a minimum of 6 months, 5 days a week
·  You are willing to travel or relocate to Utrecht, The Netherlands, if the COVID-19 situation allows us to go to the office
·  You must have or be willing to acquire a BSN number to be able to complete this internship

We offer a gross monthly internship allowance of 450 (HBO students) or 550 (University students) euros per month plus reimbursement of home-work commuting cost in the Netherlands. We offer relocation and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad.
