Vision of the role:

The Category Strategy & Insights Analyst is the perfect opportunity to build a solid analytical foundation and get exposure to working with various cross-functional teams and departments at DanoneWave. This individual will be assisting the team in developing and driving the strategic plan to grow the category and evolving the Corporate Sales Reporting Suite and Insights Center. The selected candidate will be ambitious, hard-working, detail-oriented, adaptable to day to day challenges and solution-oriented.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·  Partner with the Trade and Category Strategy & Insights team to create, develop and adapt the company’s Category growth vision to drive conversion and frequency.
·  Work internally and with vendor partners to develop and improve the Corporate Sales Reporting Suite, recommending enhancements to drive usability and action with customers.
·  Work internally  to lead gold standard planogram development and center of excellence planogram scorecarding process.
·  Develop best practice category management strategy and tactics to influence internal and external planning and decision making.
·  Be accountable for the achievement of the ambitious category growth targets for DanoneWave brands and categories.
·  Deliver compelling, insight-driven plans and presentations to achieve success of objectives in market in line with category and retailer strategies.
·  Partner with the Category Strategy & Insights team to leverage the tools and research to uncover key insights and translate them into winning strategies that are shared Nationally and implemented with customers.
·  Work with the Sales Training and Development team in order identify and address the capability and development needs of the field Category Strategy & Insights teams.  

 

 

Qualifications

·  Analytical/Critical Thinker
·  4 year College degree in Business or a related field
·  Category management and/or CPG industry experience is a plus
·  Expert in Microsoft Office Suite programs (excel a plus)
·  General understanding of Category Management principles, KPIs and strategies and how they fit within channels and within the business
·  Proven ability in analyzing data from a variety of sources and being able to identify patterns/trends in the data to form conclusions and recommendations
·  Demonstrated ability to think strategically to create ideas and solutions to business opportunities and challenges
·  Demonstrated ability in developing winning strategic plans by employing analytics, critical thinking and solid arguments to influence Retailers on Category initiatives
·  Familiarity with the 4 C’s and how to leverage them (Category, Consumer, Customer & Company) and 4 P’s (Product, Price, Place and Promotion)
