We currently have a vacancy for a VIE (International Voluntary Experience) as Supply-Chain Assistant, reporting to the Logistics Manager and based at Valencia (Spain). This is a new plant built in 2018 producing aluminium Beverage cans in two high-speed multi-format lines, working 24/7, with 190 employees.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join our team, to learn about can manufacturing and to grow your career in the Supply Chain field.
You will focus on improving any plant/logistics systems related to the supply-chain (i.e. Barcoding, SAP, etc). You will need to analyse daily issues, identify problems and define permanent solutions, through the ownership of the log report. You main tasks will include: improving the stock accuracy, ensuring pallets are dispatched on time, avoiding manual delivery notes, improving control on all aspects (including month-end closing) and submitting reports to monitor the activity. Additionally you will give support to the Spares department, helping through the improvement plan, barcoding system and spares management at the plant.
A University Graduate, you have minimum a BA in Industrial Engineering or a Master degree in Logistics & Supply Chain and one year experience in Supply Chain management acquired in an industrial environment. You are fluent in Spanish and in English. You have strong analytical capabilities, you are at ease with data and systems and you possess a good understanding of IT Systems & technologies (ie JDE/SAP and Barcoding). With strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, you value teamwork and respect for people. You have a continuous improvement mind-set with creative thinking, problem-solving and sound decision-making skills.
