You will join the latest group in Equities IT APAC focusing on technology and process improvement. This group is driving innovation and process changes throughout the APAC region.

Role Summary:

As an agile application developer you will work closely with all Equities businesses, from IT to algorithmic trading, developing cutting edge systems with a focus on technical innovation, improving processes, increasing productivity, decreasing operational risk enabling these businesses to expand and make users smile.

Responsibilities:
· Develop, test, design, manage and support high quality systems
· Become a thought leader and drive out technology and process changes across APAC
· Contribute towards BDD/TDD, Agile and Continuous Integration processes
· Maintain a strong focus on quality
· Be willing and able to adapt to changes in priorities and requirements
· Remain open and alert to new technology opportunities
· Partner with the business & technical staff on requirement analysis & delivering end-to-end solutions

Desired profile

·  Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering or related discipline is preferred but not required
·  Significant work experience in commercial software development, predominantly full stack web frameworks and exposure to more recent technologies - Previous experience in financial sector is not required for a strong candidate
·  A real passion for Agile working practices and a strong desire to work with baked-in quality disciplines, such as BDD/TDD and test automation
·  Proven ability to work well in delivering complex systems in a changing, fast paced environment
·  The ability to develop intuitive and robust user interfaces which improves user experience
·  Solid grasp of Object Oriented Design and SOLID design practices
·  Experience building realtime user interfaces
·  Experience with DevOps (e.g. Automated build, deployment and application monitoring etc.)
