Job Description

- Quality Planning
1. Define and track quality targets (e.g.: 0­km, warranty, ...). Regular reporting of quality key figures
2. Develop, apply and maintain the quality and test concept (e.g.: QM Plan, FMEA, reliability prediction, traceability, AOI, ...) to achieve the defined quality targets at best costs
3. Evaluate and estimate costs for quality efforts and invest together with the responsible departments
(e.g.: supplier quality management, technical services, warranty center, ...)
4. Review and evaluate customer quality requirements. Communicate essentials to responsible departments.

­- Monitor product development process
1. Active support of PM in all quality related and safety relevant aspects during the quotation, development & launch process (internal, supplier and customer).
2. Manage and assist project team in quality related topics during quotation­, concept refinement­, development­, industrialization­, product validation­ and production ramp­up­ phase. Apply defined internal methods, process descriptions and external / customer requirements. Review and ensure effectiveness of quality measures and initiate corrective actions. Actively support and advise project team.
3. Check product / system related requirements, standards and norms
4. Define and track all Q­related requirements (for e.g.: control plan, PDB data, DV / PV plan, MSA, PCA,...) to approve supplied components, development process, production process and customer deliveries (using computer aided systems). Release product samples, builds and launches.
5. Decide upon the necessity to independently escalate project issues / problems / risks to the management.
6. Apply project risk assessments to prepare management decision meetings
7. Participation in all Gate Reviews. Develop recommendations for the management.
8. Create Prototype­, initiate and release Pre­Launch and Series Control Plan

- ­Support product development process
1. Pursuing (i.e. tracking, requesting, supporting, provision of methodologies), that the required methods in a project are implemented according to project schedule / QM Plan.
2. Drive the analysis of product and process weaknesses, initiate and/or apply measures for quality improvements. Review effectiveness of the measures and initiate corrective actions if necessary.
3. Evaluate and track the project quality status for supplied parts, in development, in production and at the customer on a regular basis. Decide and approve upon the project quality in critical and/or special cases (e.g.: approve special releases of supplied parts, finished goods, manufacturing processes, ...)
4. Plan, lead and document customer and / or internal audits based on common and customer specific guidelines, questionnaires or requirements
