COFARCO is a fast expanding specialist firm providing independent financing arrangement and credit risk insurance brokerage services to the commodities and natural resources markets.
Headquartered in Paris, with a branch in Geneva, it serves an international customer base of corporate clients and financial institutions. The company's expertise spans across the major commodity and natural resource sectors including oil and gas, conventional and renewable power, metals and mining, and agricultural products.
It raises finance and binds credit insurance with more than 120 banks, insurance underwriters, and other financial institutions active in the commodities and natural resources space.
Position :
Cofarco is looking to add a new Account Manager position in Geneva to support the head of the Geneva branch in managing existing clients relationship, and in the execution and development of insurance and finance services.
This a unique opportunity is aimed at junior who are keen to accelerate their careers in commodity finance within an entrepreneurial environment.
- Monitoring already-existing credit and/or political risk insurance policies with clients (commodities traders, industrials and/or banks), and insurers (company-market insurers, Lloyd’s syndicates, ECAs);
- Helping clients to comply with insurance documentation requirements and terms;
- Guiding clients through negotiation process, and claims handling;
- Performing financial analsyis;
- Preparing requests for proposals and placing credit/political risks.
- Supporting the head of the Geneva branch in developing services, and acquiring clients.
Profil:
- Accademical background with sound financial analysis skills with the ability to build clear demonstrations;
- (Ideally) knowledge of/interest for the commodity industry, and related markets;
- Capacity to pay attention to details without losing sight of the bigger picture;
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English which is the firm’s working language;
- Self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit, able to use own initiative and to close transactions;
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships both externally and internally
