What will you be doing?
The Plant Engineer will serve as an on-site engineer regarding operations & maintenance activities of San Wai waste water treatment plant. The engineer will be responsible for the continuous improvement projects of the facilities including equipment performance and reliability as well as plant process enhancements/optimizations.

- Provide performance related technical support, assistance and evaluation when operation or maintenance problems occur on the plant
- Assist the plant staff with technical issues and help facilitate resolution and improve operation works
- Assist the plant in closing all identified defects which implies coordination between internal and external stakeholders, follow-up of related update of documentation, etc.
- Coordinate the different improvement projects (which may be related to the organization of human resources of the plant, to implementation of new tools, or related to technical projects linked with the equipment of the plant)
- Assist with the O&M team with review of the general operating and maintenance standards and processes related documentation
- Perform trainings of the team in different technical fields
- The Plant Engineer must ensure that all work is performed in a safe manner resulting in no accidents, in compliance with all regulatory requirements at all times.
- The Plant Engineer will be based on one plant but will be able to work in collaboration with the Head quarters and with other plants when required.

Who are we looking for?
General requirement:

The Suez Atal San Wai Joint Venture is a waste water treatment plant under construction and to be in operation in 2021. The Joint Venture is looking for a Plant Engineer for the transition period from end of construction to the Operation phase.

Education Requirements:
-Master of Science in Engineering / Water Management and Treatment / Chemistry / or equivalent
-Minimum 1-year experience in Engineering / Water or Wastewater Treatment

Languages required:
-The plant is located in Hong-Kong. The Plant Engineer will work in an English and Cantonese speaking environment. Fluent in English is mandatory

Required technical Skills:
-Understanding of waste water treatment technologies, hydraulics, chemistry, mechanics
-Knowledge in mechanical systems, instrumentation and control systems.
